Tony Delicata

Tony Delicata’s first taste of treading the boards came from running theatre styled workshops for children at the 'Theatre Workshop' and at the International Children’s Festival, Edinburgh.

In 1990, he turned professional as an actor. Since then he has worked in a number of major cities in the UK – from London’s West End to the historic stage of Perth Theatre.

His experiences in theatre have been diverse. Productions include: Difficult People (UK tour), Gargantua (Edinburgh Fringe), Lend me a Tenor (Perth Rep Theatre), Broadway Bound, Confusions, Dracula Day, Wizard of Oz. However his passion for theatre flourished through more comedic roles where he found his love for panto performing and taking on lead comedy roles in a number of productions including, Jack and the Beanstalk (Perth Rep Theatre), Dick Whittington (Blackpool & London), Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast, Cinderella, Babes in the Wood, Robin Hood, Snow White.

Tony’s involvement in theatre has gone full circle, creating and becoming Artistic Director/script writer of Leith Community Theatre (LCT), where he wrote and directed their first two panto’s - A lad in Leith (2010) Snow White & the 7 Leithers (2011).

In 2009, Tony became one of the presenter's on Edinburgh’s local radio station, Castle FM, ultimately taking over the Breakfast Show from 2011 to 2013.

In 2012, Tony co-founded Kingdom Theatre Company, where he wrote and directed the company’s first hit Edinburgh Fringe show, 'Sinatra the Final Curtain', gaining many favourable 5 star reviews along the way.

Tony remained Artistic Director & writer for Kingdom Theatre for the next 3 years.

In 2013, Tony was appointed Festival Director of Leith Festival. A position he held until 2017. During this time, he was instrumental in co-ordinating a much loved, week long annual event in the Leith District of Edinburgh. Leith Festival is inspired by a diversified, all inclusive, local community which dug it's roots firmly at the heal of Leith and it's historic Port. The event is built from all cultures of music, theatre, exhibitions, dance, comedy both professional and amateur. Climaxing in the organisation of the traditional Leith Gala Day which would attract upwards of 12 thousand attendee’s from Leith and beyond, and the closing event, the Leith Festival Tattoo.

In 2016, Tony created Atina Arts. Under that umbrella, he can currently be found performing in his hit docu-musical and one man show, "Being Frank about Sinatra"


In his spare time, Tony can be seen and heard delivering some of the great Rat Pack and friends songs. He has performed these songs in venues across Scotland such as:

The Balmoral Hotel (Edinburgh), Dunnikier House Hotel (Kirkcaldy), Malmaison Hotel (Edinburgh), The Barony Castle Hotel (Peebles), Ocean Terminal (Edinburgh)
The Queens Hall (Edinburgh),
Kingswood Hotel (Burntisland), The Jam House (Edinburgh). Hotel Du Vin (Edinburgh), The Wine House Hotel 1821.
